Summer Camps with Bev, Kleo and Leah

There will be a variety of themed camps offered over the summer. Camps will be divided by
skill levels.
Beginner
Students 8 years of age and up with no experience. Camps will begin with an intro to the
sewing machine. In this class, students, 8 years old and up, will learn how to operate a sewing
machines safely, learn how to change a needle, sew straight lines, and sew using the features of
the sewing machine to complete their project. Maximum 4 students
Experienced
This class is for students familiar with the operation of a sewing machine and have previous
sewing a variety of projects. Maximum 6 students
Machines are available for students to use. Students are welcome to bring their own sewing
machine with the manual, all regular tools & accessories, and all your optional feet (you never
know!). Please make sure it is in good working order.
1. Beach Camp- July 15, 16, 17 with Bev
What better way to enjoy the pool or beach than with your own beach accessories?
Beginner (10-12pm) $60 (plus Kit TBA)
Go to beach or pool in style with this zippered bag
that converts to a beach towel.
The zipped pouch hides your valuables too.
Experienced (1-4pm) $90 (plus kit TBA)
This stylish tote will take you to the beach, pool, or market.
It is made with colourful Pet Mesh and fabric of your choice.
It has numerous pockets too!
(optional Knot bag can be made instead)
Advanced level $150 (plus pattern and kit TBA)
Here is a great way to use up floral fabrics, large scraps
and your imagination to create beautiful collages by Laura Heine!!
From piecing backgrounds with neutral fabrics, to fussy cutting
flowers and eventually free motion quilting your gorgeous creation,
are some of the skills you will be learning in this 2 1/2 day class.
Let the scrappy fun begin!!!

3.Whooo Loves Stuffed Animals? - July 29, 30, 31 with Bev
No one can resist stuffed animals! You won’t want to make just one!
Beginner- ( 10 am - 12pm) $60 plus kit (TBA)
They will construct a stuffed owl with contrasting wings.
Experienced (1-4pm) $90 plus kit (TBA)
Students will create an adorable owl pin cushion that has a pocket for tiny things.
They will also make a pop-up storage container
4.BraLette Advanced Level - August 12,13,14,&15 (6:30-9 pm) with Leah

Bralettes have become a fashion staple for many wardrobes. Chosen for comfort and style,
they can be found in a wide variety of fabrics and support levels. For sewists, it is a great
introduction to sewing under fashions. This summer Zazzy Stitchers is please to host a
4 evening Bralette camp for young sewists with garment construction experience.
During the class you will learn construction techniques such as working with lace and foam,
elastic application, sewing adjustable lingerie straps, and attaching a hook and eye closure.
Time will be spent on fitting the garment as well. Class size is limited, so register early.
They will make a simple pin cushion and a pillowcase to brighten any room.
The pillow case will have a cuff and decorative accent along with French seams
Experienced (1- 4pm) $90 (plus kit TBA)
Students will learn basic piecing and appliqué to create this
adorable cup cake pillow. Good enough to eat!
Everyone needs new pencil cases, lunch bags, snack bags etc for school.
Join this camp to say “ I made it” as you start your new year!
Beginner (10am - 12pm) $60 (plus kit TBA)
Students will make a pencil case with a zipper, and a drawstring back pack.
Experienced (1-4pm) $90 (plus Kit TBA)
Students will make a laminated lunch bag and binder pencil case.
